Privacy Policy

HeartIsle version 1.0 is designed so that sensitive recovery information remains on your device.

Information stored by the app

HeartIsle lets you enter check-ins, journals, unsent letters, guided companion conversations, recovery exercises, support preferences, and optional memory photos. In version 1.0, this information remains in the app container on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Security

Structured app data is stored in an AES-GCM encrypted file. Its encryption key is stored using Apple Keychain. Optional Face ID or device-passcode protection can be enabled inside the app. No security method can guarantee absolute protection, so keep your device software and passcode secure.

Notifications, photos, messages, and calls

Notifications are scheduled locally after permission is granted. The app uses Apple’s system photo picker for optional memory photos. Message and telephone buttons open Apple system interfaces; HeartIsle does not send a message or place a call automatically.

Data collection and sharing

Version 1.0 contains no advertising, tracking, analytics, online AI, account system, or developer-operated cloud sync. We do not receive, sell, or use your recovery records for advertising.

Your choices

You can export structured data or permanently erase HeartIsle data from the Privacy & Data screen. Removing the app also removes app-container data, subject to Apple platform behavior and any device backups you control.

Health and emergency notice

HeartIsle is a self-guided wellbeing tool, not a diagnostic, therapy, medical, or emergency service. It cannot replace emergency services, physicians, or licensed mental-health professionals. If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact a trusted person nearby and the official emergency service where you are.

Children

HeartIsle is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users in version 1.0.

Changes

We will update this policy before enabling a feature that changes how data leaves the device or is handled by us.
